Terms of Use

Welcome to CATRINA. By using this site, participating in airdrops, or interacting with the CATRINA token, you agree to these terms. Please read carefully.

1. Nature of the Project

CATRINA is a community-driven cultural experiment celebrating Día de Muertos traditions through art, storytelling, and decentralized technology.

  • This is not a commercial product or financial instrument
  • Participation is voluntary and at your own risk
  • The token has no guaranteed value and may become worthless
  • We make no promises of profit, utility, or future features

2. Token Information

The CATRINA token is deployed on the Solana blockchain with the following characteristics:

  • Fixed supply: No additional tokens can be minted
  • Non-freezable: Token accounts cannot be frozen by the project
  • Community-distributed: Tokens are distributed via airdrops, puzzles, and community participation—not sold
  • Immutable: The token contract cannot be upgraded or changed

3. Acceptable Use

When participating in CATRINA, you agree to:

  • Respect cultural heritage: No mockery, disrespect, or cultural appropriation of Día de Muertos traditions
  • Submit original content: Do not upload copyrighted material you don't own or have permission to use
  • Be truthful: Provide accurate information in submissions and forms
  • Follow the law: Comply with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
  • Be kind: No harassment, hate speech, spam, or abusive behavior toward other community members

4. Prohibited Activities

The following are not allowed:

  • Gaming the airdrop system with bots, fake accounts, or multiple submissions
  • Uploading offensive, illegal, or culturally insensitive content
  • Attempting to hack, exploit, or disrupt the site or token contract
  • Misrepresenting yourself as a CATRINA team member or official representative
  • Using the CATRINA name or logo for commercial purposes without permission

Violations may result in exclusion from airdrops, content removal, or bans.

5. Airdrops & Rewards

Airdrops are discretionary and subject to moderation:

  • We review submissions for cultural appropriateness and originality
  • Not all submissions will receive airdrops
  • Airdrop amounts vary based on quality, creativity, and cultural context
  • We reserve the right to reject or delay distributions without explanation
  • Seasonal faucet availability depends on community funding and calendar events

6. Intellectual Property

Your Content

When you submit images, text, or other media to CATRINA, you retain ownership but grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, share, and promote your content on the site and social media for community purposes.

Our Content

The CATRINA branding, site design, and curated content are provided for community use. Commercial use requires permission. Educational and non-commercial sharing is encouraged with attribution.

7. Disclaimers

CATRINA is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind:

  • We do not guarantee the site will be available 24/7
  • We are not liable for lost tokens due to user error (wrong wallet addresses, lost private keys, etc.)
  • Blockchain transactions are irreversible; we cannot recover tokens sent to incorrect addresses
  • We are not responsible for third-party services (Solana network, wallet providers, exchanges)

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • CATRINA community members and contributors are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the site or token
  • You participate at your own risk
  • This includes financial losses, data loss, or any other harm

9. Regulatory Compliance

CATRINA is a cultural token, not a security or investment vehicle. However:

  • You are responsible for understanding and complying with crypto regulations in your jurisdiction
  • We do not provide tax advice; consult a tax professional regarding token receipts
  • Some jurisdictions may restrict or prohibit crypto participation—know your local laws

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the project evolves. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance. Major changes will be announced in our Telegram community.

11. Termination

You may stop participating at any time. We may suspend or ban users who violate these terms. Blockchain token ownership is permanent and cannot be revoked by us (by design).

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Disputes should be resolved through good-faith community discussion first; if necessary, through applicable legal channels.
